01 / Generation
Utility-scale solar
Ground-mounted photovoltaic plants engineered for Gulf conditions. The design questions in the desert are not the ones in Europe: soiling rates, module temperature derating, sand abrasion, wind loading on trackers and the cleaning regime that keeps the yield model honest.
We design around single-axis trackers with bifacial modules where the site geometry and albedo justify it, and fixed-tilt where they do not. The choice is made on modelled yield per unit of capital, not on preference.
- Irradiance and soiling assessment on local data
- Tracker and module selection, string design
- Bankable yield modelling with uncertainty bands
- Civil, mechanical and DC electrical engineering
- Procurement against technical specification
- Construction management and commissioning
02 / Storage
Battery energy storage
Containerised lithium battery systems co-located with generation or standing alone at the grid. Storage is what turns an intermittent asset into a dispatchable one: it moves midday generation into the evening peak, provides frequency and voltage services, and gives an offtaker a delivery profile they can contract against.
In Gulf conditions the design constraint is thermal before it is chemical. Cycle life, warranty terms and safety all follow from how well heat is managed, so cooling architecture is decided first and capacity follows.
- Sizing against generation profile and offtake curve
- Thermal management and enclosure design for ambient extremes
- Battery management, energy management and dispatch logic
- Fire safety and grid code compliance
- Augmentation planning across the asset life
03 / Grid
Connection and substations
A plant that cannot export is a field of expensive glass. Grid connection is where schedules slip and budgets move, so we treat it as engineering from the first assessment rather than as paperwork at the end.
- Grid impact and connection studies
- Medium and high voltage design, transformer and switchgear specification
- Substation layout, protection and control
- Grid code compliance, reactive power and fault ride-through
- Utility coordination through to energisation
04 / Development
Project development
The work before there is a project: finding the site, securing the land, understanding the grid, structuring the offtake and carrying the whole thing to a point where it can be financed. Primelux develops projects on its own account and alongside partners who bring land, offtake or capital.
- Site identification and land tenure
- Permitting and regulatory pathway
- Offtake structuring and counterparty engagement
- Technical due diligence for lenders and investors
- Carried through to financial close
05 / Operations
Operations and maintenance
Performance is decided at string level and lost in the gaps between cleaning cycles. Our O&M is built around telemetry that sees every string, cleaning schedules driven by measured soiling rather than the calendar, and a performance guarantee held against the yield model the plant was financed on.
- String-level monitoring and analytics
- Predictive cleaning and vegetation control
- Preventive and corrective maintenance
- Performance guarantees against the financed model
- Reporting for owners, lenders and offtakers

Which of these does your project need?
Most projects need three of the five. Tell us where you are and we will say which, and in what order.
